The Answers
1) Why plant based protein and what makes it better?
Tastes great, mixes well, strong and well balanced amino acid profile (important for a protein shake), every ingredient has a purpose (i.e no fillers or artificial ingredients). This is a high integrity protein powder. No cows harmed or abused to create this.
2) Why is Hemp and Pea protein good for my customer?
See this infographic for more info.
In short; the combination gives a strong and well balanced amino acid profile, no lactose / gluten, they're sustainable foods, no cows harmed and the plants bring other beneficial elements in addition to the protein.
3) What is wrong with artificial sweeteners and why should we help our clients off them?
Artificial sweeteners may negatively affect the health of the gut.
Artificial sweeteners may negatively impact brain/gut signaling.
Artificial sweeteners may cause a number of undesirable side-effects and or illnesses (see references below)
4) Why is your protein not certified organic?
We are a small yet strong independent company and we source all of our ingredients from organic places. We have decided to not pay the high fees for the organic stamp / name. ENRICHD products are of the highest quality, many of which have been 3rd party tested with cleaner results than others who are certified organic.
5) What is GMO and why do you not like them?
“GMOs (or “genetically modified organisms”) are living organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering, or GE. This relatively new science creates unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacteria and viral genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods.”
GMOs have been band in numerous countries.
The farming of GMO's uses large quantities of pesticides both impacting the land and the integrity of the food.
6) Why do you use stevia?
Because it is plant derived, non-gmo, and has a longer history of use by humans, and is an effective way to sweeten up the shake.
7) Why are some other vegan plant based protein powders cheaper?
Some other products are diluted with oats, from lo grade sources, and or include artificial or GMO ingredients.
Because of the potential negative impacts of artificial or GMO ingredients they are of no interest to ENRICHD.ORG and do not match with our mission.
8) When and how should I mix your protein?
It depends on your preference and how sweet your tooth is. Some people love it with water, coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk... whatever your taste buds demand. I personally prefer to add it to my smoothies which often consist of a spring water, green tea or gynostemma base with avocado, banana and other bits and pieces I add depending on my training and body's needs and training phase.
9) Is your protein sweet tasting?
Yes. And, it depends on what you compare it to. If you eat a banana then suck a lemon, will the lemon taste sweet?
Probably not. But if you drink a NEEM tea and then suck the lemon, i guarantee the lemon is going to taste sweeter.
My point? I find it to be sweet, but it depends on how your customer/client has trained their buds.
